Fees are calculated by estimating a project's hours multiplied by an hourly rate. 
A project's fee is agreed upon by writer and client before the project begins. 
Hourly rates are:

$110 – Copywriting
Start-to-finish writing. From information gathering, interviewing, and conceptualizing to creating text for the finished draft. 

$70 – Rewrites and copyediting
Rewriting of existing text provided by client. Includes checks for typographical errors, grammar, punctuation, style, uniformity, and thorough fact-checking.

$50 – Proofreading
Includes checks for typographical errors, grammar, punctuation, style, uniformity, and minor fact-checking.

  • For new clients, introductory phone calls and project discussions are free.
  • If project is killed during the copywriting stage, writer is entitled to full payment of time for work up to that point.
  • If project is killed after the copy has been submitted, writer is entitled to full payment of agreed-upon fee.
  • An up-front deposit of one-third is required for all projects exceeding $1,000.
  • Rush fee of 25-50% applied to projects that require a 24-48 hour turnaround. These fees also apply to work completed over a weekend.
